1st Princess cruise

Hello fellow Princess CCers. This is my first post on Princess boards so please be gentle. We are looking to cruise on Caribbean Princess out of Fort Lauderdale in April. Any information on reasonably priced hotels close to port would be appreciated. And any other related matters. Thank you in anticipation. Getting excited!:D

We're staying at the LaQuinta in Deerfield Beach in March for $69/night. I'm not sure how far that is from the pier. Since we're driving down from Atlanta, we didn't need to be right next door.
