Which airport is closer to Cape Liberty besides Newark? Is it JFK or Laguardia? Also, how far are they and who do I contact for a transfer? Cab or car company?

LGA is closer....but yellow cabs are NOT required to take you there, Its better to prearrange with limo or car service....
