RCL Vision question

We are considering a family cruise on the Vision of the Seas in June. None of us have sailed RCL before and I have a few questions.

1. Kid's program--how is it? (I've never cruised with small children before.)

2. Baby-sitting--is it available and have you tried it?

3. How is the ship itself?

4. Do most people get into the spirit of formal night?

I appreciate anyone taking the time to answer. I'm very excited by the possibility of our entire family cruising together and really want it to be a good experience for all.

We do not have children but if you are cruising during summer break there will be a good number of children on board. Royal Caribbean is know to have good kid programs. As for sitters if you plan you down times the onboard programs will keep your kids busy.

If you have a lot of younger children take Early (Main) seating as that usually has better programs so the adults can see the shows or head to the casinos.

The Vision is one of the older ships. So you will not get all the glitz and activities that the Voyager or Freedom ships have. But the Vision is a very easy ship to cruise. The staff is great. The prices on the Vision are really reasonable - you will have a great family trip.

we just got off Vision in November..

Dont have kids so cant help w/ 1 and 2

The ship was great. Its clean, very easy to get around and the staff is very helpful. One thing I noticed is there are a lot of areas of the ship with great views out of the ship...some of our favorites were the Some Enchanted Evening Lounge, Schooner Bar, the Centrum area and of course the Crown Lounge...

Formal nights were both very well done. Many people got dressed up. I wore a suit and my wife wore a cocktail dress to each. We were dressed along with most people...there were a reasonable number of tuxedos but a suit will do perfectly

Have a great trip
