SKP57 Posted January 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2008 I'm sailing on the Radiance of the Seas in a couple of weeks and trying to decide if it's okay to wear capri pants the first night in the main dinner room.
Jane110 Posted January 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2008 The first night is the most informal with many people either boarding late and/or not getting luggage in time to shower and change. So you can wear them to the main dining room.
jollycruise Posted January 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2008 Yep! That is exactly what I did our first night on the Dawn.
jvmgos Posted January 14, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2008 SKP, I am going on the Radiance in March. When we sailed several years ago on the Grandeur, I had on khaki capris and a blouse and tank for the first night. Frankly, DH and I were clueless as to how the dinner arrangement went and we didn't even know to change our clothes in time for dinner! We were fine with our traveling clothes. We noticed most people were dressed exactly as we were. Enjoy your cruise on the Radiance, I'm looking forward to mine! :)
caviargal Posted January 14, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2008 I prefer to shower and change before dinner on the first night so I always pack an outfit for to wear to the dining room in my carry on. Yes, you will see capris in the dining room.

FinelyRetired Posted January 16, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 16, 2008 I always have a dinner outfit in my carry-on. It's about all I can do to even get to the ship on time as we are usually touring something that day & our ETA is about 3:30pm for boarding. We usually have late seating......so there's time to shower/change easily and worry about the luggage later.
momofmeg Posted January 16, 2008 #9 Share Posted January 16, 2008 RCI is very casual-you can wear them any night if you choose-except ofcourse you shouldn't formal nights. I though, usually will not-I save capris for daywear.
wyeanni Posted January 16, 2008 #10 Share Posted January 16, 2008 I think a lot depends also on your itinerary. Places like the South Pacific (Tahiti - Hawaii) and the Caribbean are places I have seen women wear many more Capris ,maybe up to 1/4 -1/3 of the women wearing them . In Europe you will not see as many. Hugs Anni
