Priceline - seems to good to be true

Well I was having no luck finding an affordable place in Miami for Feb 24th so I decided to give priceline a shot. Low and behold my 2nd bid of $65 was accepted.....by the Hyatt Summerfield Suites.

 

After taxes it comes out to $81.44 which seems pretty unbelievable since their cheapest room for that night is regularly $229!

Congratulations. I love priceline. We have been using it for years now and have never been disappointed. There are a couple of great sites out there that helped along the way - biddingfortravel and betterbidding they are great information sources.

Because it is a Sunday night, most cruisers have already left Miami. Friday and Saturdays are the busiest because of the 7 day trips. Great timing and price!!

Confirmed 1-bedroom suite with a king size bed. Now I'm wishing our flight didn't leave at 6am on Monday.

 

The rooms look pretty amazing in the photos. I'm surprised it's only rated 2.5 stars.

The star system is based on hotel amenities, not looks, room size, or cleanliness.

If you find somenthing on Priceline and it looks too good to be true, then it must be true.

i stayed there a few years back with a winning bid on Priceline also. It was wonderful! Wish i could win again!;)

Agreed ... as long as you understand the system, Priceline is awesome ... and for those of you who don't know, you can link through refereal sites to get something like 3% back.

I agree that Priceline is a great site to book hotels and car rentals. But like anything these days you have to do your homework or you may be disappointed.
