Alaska weather in august

we are planning to go to alaska in the beginning of august,

how is the weather then ?

is the rain a hit or miss ?

should we bring rain clothes?

It's Alaska so...

 

Beginning of August has a better chance of good weather, but no guarantee.... If you look at 2007, the first week started out rainy then it was really nice for about 10 days and then rain started up again. You'll have to be prepared for anything.

Definately be prepared and have rain gear. The temps are a wide range depending where you are?? Fairbanks, can hit the 90's, Inside Passage 60-70's.
