3 day Westerdam 4/19/08

We have been looking at booking this cruise. On Wed. night, there were still a large number of rooms available in almost every category. Then Thu. morning, all categories were shown as guarantee. I called my TA, but she must have been out of the office since I didn't hear back from her all day. Then late last night I called HAL and they told me the ship was overbooked. I tried to find out if a large group had booked and scooped up alot of the remains cabins, but couldn't find out. Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks!

I just pulled up that 3 day cruise -- tons of guarantees available -- ship can't be over booked.

That was my thought too. This afternoon, tons of cabins and suites suddenly became available again. Go figure?

I have a VF booked for this cruise, but I just saw that they are now offering VA for the same price (which they weren't when I booked). Is it possible to switch rooms now? Should I call my TA tonight?

I have been able to change rooms in the past right up until final payment. I would definately call my TA.
