08isok Posted February 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2008 We are sailing on Explorer of the Seas April 11th. We've been to Labadee several times and saw they offer an excursion to Malfini Beach. We were wondering if it's a nice beach (no shells and rocks like some of the beach spots in Labadee). Is is worth the money for this excusion?? If anyone has taken this excursion I'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks - Tracey
cb at sea Posted February 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Labadee is so beautiful and nice, I'm not sure why you'd pay extra to go somewhere else!
dak_friendly Posted February 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2008 My last (and only) time I was at Labadee, I found the beach area to be extremely rocky and all the coral was in poor shape or dead. The way the area was divided up made it seem less occupied. That was until more people got off the ship, soon you couldn't get away from the feeling of being swallowed in a huge crowd. The idea of spending a mere $60 to get away from the crowd and also have the opportunity to see a nicer stretch of beach is appealing. I remember hearing good things about this excursion as well as some negatives. Hopefully someone will post a helpful response.
