Mercury - Ship's pool towels on shore excursion?

Do they allow you to take the ship's pool towels ashore or do you have to bring your own? (Trying to save valuable suitcase space ...)

Use the ship's towels. Your steward will put them in your cabin the night before port days.

And you can exchange them for fresh towels when you return....no problem and definitely don't waste precious luggage space on beach towels. See you soon...

Actually - you don't use the pool towels. They will provide you with beach towels which are a little larger and nicer than pool towels.

 

Sometimes the stewards either forget or don't pass them out unless you request them, so if you don't have them in your room when you go to dinner the evening before you need them be sure to ask so you won't have to hunt down your steward in the morning. On your return they'll take these and provide clean ones for the next beach stop.

 

Pool towels are easily available by the pool, unlike other lines that make you check these in and out, so you don't need to use the beach towels in your room for pool use. They do account for the beach towels so make sure you return them to your room so the steward can count them in.
