jmk22574 Posted February 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2008 My husband and I just received our Alaskan cruise invoice, and we have a free night's stay precruise at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. Looking at the website, this hotel seems quite nice. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this hotel - good or bad. Jill
SeattleCruiselover Posted February 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2008 It used to be the Four Seasons before Fairmont bought it out. It is quite a nice property, and right down in the central downtown core.
jmk22574 Posted February 12, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Thanks Karen....it sounds like we'll be within walking distance to some sites and good restaurants. Now the waiting begins (or continues I guess)...... Jill
SeattleCruiselover Posted February 12, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2008 It'll be here (and, unfortunately, gone) before you know it.
Gsel Posted February 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2008 This is a lovely hotel, we stayed there last year compliments of HAL prior to our Nordam Alaska cruise. We were upgraded to a large suite and really enjoyed our stay. The doorman arranged for the hotel's car to take us to Pike's Place and a restaurant near there for dinner (we gave the driver a very nice tip!) and he returned to pick us up when we called him after dinner. I would say this was a wonderful way to start our vacation.
