    I now cruise single and have two cruises booked. DH and I preferred Neptune Suites which , I think will hold actually three or four persons. Now that he is gone I still book Neptunes, fortunately he left me able to afford that. If HAL decides to "move" me they are going to face one very upset "old" lady!

    Haines is the perfect place just to wander around and meet the people who live there. They are friendly for the most part and glad you are visiting. Nothing is very far away and there is plenty of beautiful scenery.

    Almost anything would be better than what HAL's IT Department is putting out now!

    We have always used Jayleen's Alaska for whale watching. Smaller boats and she is a native Alaskan. Her Captains pick you up at the pier and bring you back. Great company!

    Just had a email from the "head of the e-commerce" team. He said he forwarded my email to IT and they are looking into the problems. Noe they just need to FIX the problems!

    Remember to care for yourself too. The bells on the door was one of the hints I received, it works! Also, I put a battery operating night light in the hall and bathroom. If I can help in any way just ask!

    libtrek, I traveled with DH a couple of times after he was diagnosed with ALZ. He loved Alaska and the ship tours were easier for him. His doctor gave me lots of hints on how to keep him safe and enjoying the trip. We cruised Alaska ten times! My prayers are with you!

    Thanks Ruth, have all that too. Just trying to book dining, shore excursions. Plus very troubling when HAL says your cruise doesn't exist! If I was a new cruiser I would be very worried, I should be accustomed to this but seems much worse since the shut down!

    This seems to be a normal thing for HAL. Have not been able to access my two booked cruises for weeks! I suggest you call HAL.

    Warm and muggy in southern Oklahoma this morning, rain rest of the week. Prayers for Jacqui and all who need them, sometimes you just have to take one minute at a time!

    Agree, always starboard! Our TA knows what I want and it is starboard if possible.

    Thanks all for the good wishes. Staying busy and remembering all the cruises and travel we did. DH loved to travel and we went lots of lovely places. I read this thread every day just don't post often, fee like I know all of you! Barbara

    Thank you grapau27 for the beautiful poem. Today is one year since I lost DH. It will be a rough day, but your post makes it a bit easier.

    So sorry for your loss. You will meet again!

    We spent five days at Glacier Bay Lodge a few years ago. Some nights it was hard to go to bed, a lot to see! It is worth every minute for me to go to bed earlier than usual just to see and hear birds and animals in the morning.

    I would think HAL would consider that as a fire hazard. I have one like that and love it!

    No itinerary for each cruise I have booked. Just get a "error page". Very frustrating!

    To be very clear, one of the people traveling with me was a 13 year old girl and the other is handicapped. It would have been difficult to manage if they had not been able to board with us. The both were first-time cruisers.
