Princess cancellation policy

Hi,

 

Has anyone been able to cancel a cruise with Princess in less than 21 days and still receive their 100% money back if they didn't buy the insurance?

 

How strict is their policy and do they make any exceptions?

I believe their policy is absolute. You have a choice - buy insurance or pray.

Yes, sorry, but at less than 21 days you are usually at a 75% penalty (100% at 14 days). On very rare occasions in the past Princess has been known to extend credit for a future cruise in the penalty amount, but only for very unique, unforeseeable events. Which is why they make you specifically decline the insurance option.
