Marfa53 Posted February 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2008 I am thinking of booking a cruise through Carnival. Is there any benefit to booking over the phone instead of booking online? Any advice would be most appreciated!
Rare GaryWT Posted February 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2008 We always book through a TA but I guess the only difference would be on the phone the rep should know if additional rooms are available.
firefly333 Posted February 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2008 If you book over the phone some TAs will discount. They cant advertise a lower price, but they can and do discount. If you book thru Carnival, price would be the same no matter how you booked.
CruisinMenika Posted February 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2008 The only advantage I can see is that if you book over the phone, you will have a person that you can contact if you have questions or anything.
Legend Posted February 16, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2008 That's really not such a cut and dry answer. By booking online you may not know about any specials that are being offered. If you call Carnival they will qualify you for those. If you have a good booking agent they might also watch for prices drops for you after you've booked. Marfa53 Posted February 16, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted February 16, 2008 Thanks for all the good advice. I guess I'll give them a call and see how they compare.
