Ocean Boy Posted February 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2008 The Royal Promenade is awesome at night. There is always something going on. The shops will be open. There will be sales going on. Two nights of the week there is a parade.... two very cool parades at that. There is the pub where there will be entertainment, the Cafe where you can stop for a snack. You can sit and watch the world walk by..... It is very difficult to explain the atmosphere of the promenade. You just have to experience it for yourself. KarinaGW Posted February 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2008 thank you A couple nights a week, there's a parade in the vicinity of 11pmish Any bars there are (English pub and Sports Bar (or Vinatages)) will be hopping...Vintages, being a wine bar, maybe not so much..til 1ish, maybe later depending on business. After that, pretty much the Cafe Promenade is what there is.

brn2crz Posted February 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2008 Also it hosts the Captain's reception banquet with Champagne, music and dancing if you want. Also, last month on Voyager the 70's disco night was there...A real blast... So,there is basically a little something going on everynight.' Well..Unless you ship leaves 31/2 hours late because of fog and you don't get a Bon Voyage Parade :(
relaxatsea Posted February 22, 2008 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2008 :) :) We were on Freedom of the Seas last Sept. and enjoyed hanging out in the Promenade at night. The Captain's Cocktail Party was held there and everyone was served champagne and the ship's orchestra played. The Captain spoke to the crowd (a big crowd!) and then introduced the officers. It was all very entertaining. We always went there before going back to our cabin just to see what was going on. Have a great cruise! thank you
