bbiggar Posted September 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2004 Has anyone had an extended balcony on a Spirit class ship (sailing the Spirit)the ones on the front of the ship? I have a cabin that is directly above the main show lounge and wonder how loud it will be when things are happening in there.

serene56 Posted November 6, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2004 When sailing for the Victory I stressed for a long time about being ontop of a lounge. I heard nothing. On the Legend i stressed about being under the casino- again I heard nothing. THe shows will be over by the time you go to bed. I dont think you will hear much if anything at all. davidt1968 Posted November 7, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2004 Here's some info for you. I was on the Pride (8C) Room 5127 extended balcony on the Sept 26th sailing. It was great. Very quiet. Heard nothing from the showroom. The extended balcony is worth every penny. Have a great time.
BEACHBARB Posted November 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 7, 2004 Our family has stayed in 5122-5124-5126 on both the Pride and the Legend and the extended balcony is great. We didn't realize the first cruise that the balcony doors open but I kept looking at them and thinking that they would so before the second cruise, I checked with Carnival and was told they would open them up. They only do so many each cruise because it takes time to close them at the end, etc. Anyway, about the noise - we went to bed early a couple nights and did hear music from the show lounge. Not real loud but could hear the drums. It wasn't too bad. We moved to 6228-6230-6232 for the third cruise and they were even better because 6232 has a real long balcony. With the doors open it was like a bowling alley!!! Good Luck!
