Cabin 7108 on Serenade of the Seas

Recommended Posts

I am looking at an Alaska cruise for September this year and had planned to do another one on Carnival Spirit, but in checking out Serenade of the Seas, RCCL has a very good price for BC residents which beats Carnival's by a few hundred dollars (and as a solo traveller, that's always good).

They have cabin 7108 available, but from the deck plans, I'm not sure whether this is a good cabin or not. It appears this cabin is right next to the outside elevator?

Does anyone have any info on this cabin? It also looks like the balcony might be a little larger to reach the curve of the elevator, but I'm wondering if it would impact the view/privacy, etc.

Thanks for your help.

I had 7108 on the Jewel and it is a great cabin. It is actually the 1st cabin in the hallway to the aft of the elevator banks, not right next to them...so you won't have any noise from the elevators. The balcony is huge and has 2 loungers, 2 chairs, and a table. It is a covered balcony and you only get alot of sun on one length of the voyage(either down or back up) other than that only the 1st 1/4 of the balcony gets sun, and you only have 1 neighbor. However, if you stand at your railing everyone from the aft can see you. It was actually kind of fun since we had friends in other balconies and we would wave to them every morning when we got up. Another thing is that deck 7 balconies look out over the lifeboat covers...in other words, you can't look straight down at the water. It does not obstruct your view at all...as the covers are just below your balcony. I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again.

If that cabin is still available, grab it. It is in a fabulous location and a great place to be. One of the most popular ones.

Click on the thumbnail to make it larger. It has one of the largest balconies there is on the hump. ;)

This Cabin has a great balcony for a standard cabin.  The only warning I have is that it is right beside the Centrum where they can have loud musical entertainment until midnight.  There is a fire door that can be closed but you will still hear the noise and may hear the fire door close as passengers go to their rooms.
