We are on April 5th too! Just wondering whether to do just the ruins or the combo. Have written to Carnival but no reply form them either.

we got back yesterday!

this was a beautiful and fun excursion.

The tour guides are fun and informative.

put sunscreen on before you get to the ruins the sun is intense, bring comfy shoes.

The beach break is nice and clean. The servers great fun!!!

all you can drink .... even shots!!!

2 swimming pools and lots of chairs on the beach, food is extra. I Suggest you bring pretzels or pringles maybe some fruit from the boat.

Please do not bring fruit on shore. Respect the host country's laws. Or any other unsealed food.

Right at where the pier reaches the land in Progreso. Nice beach and plenty of bars and restaurants.

Can you book thru autoprogresso or do you have to go thru carnival? How long do you get at the beach and how long at ruins? Does anyone know the price also?

Try to book trough their web www.autoprogreso.com and ask about their beach break place or what is included, I think is different from the one you buy on the ship. Just as an advice try to buy your tours with an authorized tour operator (any tour from the ship, autoprogreso or the taxis at the pier).
