NYC Airport/Cruiseship Terminal - Enough Time

Opinions on whether the following flights are allowing enough time....

 

arrival JFK 12:30 pm on Saturday - ship leaves Manhattan pier @ 4 pm

 

and

 

ship docks 10 am on Saturday with a 2 pm flight out of JFK

All the way around-pretty darn tight, especially on the return. Ship docks at 10AM???? You may not be off the ship until 11:30-12:00AM. Get your luggage, get a taxi, 45 minutes to JFK. You just missed your plane.

I agree while you PROBABLY will make it especially if you carry your own luggage off why end your vacation by rushing and worrying about it.

 

If you plane is delayed at all coming in you may miss being on line since if the ship sails at 4 you MUST be in line by 2 and on board no latter than 3.....

A 12:30 pm arrival time at JFK is cutting way to close. The traffic at the hour into Manhattan can be really brutal and you will be very lucky to get to the pier by 2pm, that's provided you don't have any flight delays.

 

You should strongly consider and early morning flight or even better arrive in New York the day before.

I'd be a nervous wreck the entire time. No way I'd book a flight any earlier than 4PM out of JFK.

 

You are also pushing your arrival for embarkation.

 

By 12Noon, any time of year, all three of the Tri State area airports are on 45 minute delays. Weather of any kind anywhere in the US messes up LGA, Newark, and JFK.
