abschnick Posted March 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2008 In the past we have sailed RCCL. If they reduced the price prior to final payment we would get the discounted price credited. Does Princess do the same or are you stuck with what you originally purchased? Thanks

Does Princess do the same or are you stuck with what you originally purchased? If the price is reduced, which doesn't happen often on Princess, and if the reduced fare isn't a "flash" promotion for new bookings only, just talk to your TA and they'll adjust the quote for your cruise. If the promotion or reduced rate that you see is for new bookings only, you won't get a rate reduction. There are several "Ifs" and while prices are sometimes reduced on Princess, they don't happen nearly as often as on RCCL, for instance, because most cruises are sold out well in advance of final payment. Colo Cruiser Posted March 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2008 If you have a good TA then it is possible before and after final. :)

Druke I Posted March 9, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2008 At one time, Princess used to include phrasing in their brochures that if you found a lower Princess advertised price before final payment and brought it to their attention, they would lower the price. Due to confusion with Promotional Fares, etc, that line of advertising was dropped.
ssantow Posted March 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2008 Princess does seem to be quite good at guessing the right price to charge and does not do a lot of the up and down that other lines do. The most likely time to see the price lowered is after final payment is due and then there is a better chance of getting struck by lightening than there is of getting your fare lowered. cactusrose Posted March 9, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 9, 2008 If it's lowered before final payment and not a flash promotion for new bookings then they will adjust but you usually have to watch pricing and ask for it. They won't automatically do it for you.
