Krystal Massage to Romantic zone PV

We are scheduled to stop in PV in April. In port from 10 to 5. We are looking into massages at Krystals...but wonder after that, can you walk to the old town/Romantic zone? I keep reading about walking the Malecon...?/ Any info from past cruisers is much appreciated.

We've been to PV about 20 times both on cruise and land vacations. We've stayed at the Krystal a couple of times. You can walk it. But, it's a long walk and with time so short on a cruise, take a cab or the bus to Centro. Either way you'll love it.

You can also take one of the many buses, just Peso 5.50 p.p. one way.

Last April we got on a bus that we thot was going to the Krystal where we were staying. After we got on, the driver changed the sign and we ended up in a little village out in the middle of nowhere.

 

It was our fault. We had just been getting too confident using the bus system with our limited Spanish. "Uno mas cervesa por favor. & "Donde esta los banos" had served us well but not in this situation.
