Aww. I should be getting my $15 back from my cruise in February, right? I paid that sucker in full before the announcement was made.

We booked a cruise for 6/29/08 on Oct 15, and got a price drop on Nov 15. What do you think? Are we free of the surcharge or do we pay it?? (We haven't made our final payment yet.)

we sail next week, booked back in March 07, then got hit with the e-mail(11/21/07) stating $70 times two because of two rooms. We'll see next week if we have an onboard credit.

We won! See persistance does pay! W have put down our deposit befor nov 17 and they added the charge to the bill. We don't cruise until december, but we are gettin a $70 OBC. Thanks RCCL!

I wonder how this will be handled if you booked prior to Nov, but haven't made final payment yet.

 

Will they just take it off of the final payment amount due or will it still be OBC? Questions, questions.

:( I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but an updated newsreport has indicated that Carnival was not included in todays decision......The Carnival Corp name was released in error. But let's hope they will follow suit tomorrow......

Yes, all the Royal Caribbean brands are refunding the surcharge for those who had made bookings before it was announced. This includes Celebrity and Azamara.

 

Don't worry about Carnival though, their announcement should be coming soon.

So, if this is true, and Carnival follows along, that means I'll be getting back $140 (2 cabins) from our Dec. '07 cruise, and $70 obc from our upcoming April cruise, (which we booked in Sept. '07) and $80 obc from our Dec. '08 cruise? (which I booked in June of '07?) Yeah baby!!
