I am trying to decide whether to book with Carnival or thru IA. The IA has NCCF fees in the price. I realize these are port charges.....so why does Carnival not charge them...or do they charge you later for them?? First time cruiser!!!

The NCF is included in the total fare from Carnival, many travel agents break down the NCF portion, since they are not awarded commission onthat part.

Ex:

Carnival:

Fare $549

Tax $36.14

Total $585.14

Agent:

Fare $400

NCF/Port/Tax $185.14

Total $585.14

Some Ta's can discount the fare, some don't. But the bottom line total price including all port fees, fare and taxes is what you should compare. TA's cannot advertise prices without the port fees, but the can advertise without the taxes.
