Dubai restaurant

My wife and I are looking for a Dubai restaurant recommendation for Saturday, April 19. We wanted to dine at the Gordon Ramsey restaurant, Verre, but it is closed Saturdays. Is this typical? We'd like to find a restaurant of similar quality.

Don't know if you've already decided on somewhere but I've only just spotted your post.I went to Dubai a couple of years ago to celebrate a special birthday and we went to 'Al Muntaha' which is the restaurant at the top of the Burj Al Arab. We really loved it. We didn't make it to 'Verre' but would love to try it when we go back.

I thought I answered this someplace else, but the seafood restaurant at the Burj is amazing, set around a huge aquarium. Also, in last Sunday's NYT Travel section there was an article on '36 Hours in Dubai' and a restaurant 'Fire and Ice' was recommended.
