In the main dining room are there tables big enough for 16? We are a big family group. We are sailing on the Mariner. :D

10 or 12 is the largest there are. They can set you up with 2 tables for 8 with no problem. Just be sure that all reservations are linked for dinner or you could be scattered all over the dining room.

I would go with 2 tables of 8 but make sure they are side by side.

They will split you into two tables, which will be next to each other. The largest table they have is a 12 top.

By having 2 tables, you will be able to "mix it up" and have everyone switch seats, so all will have varied conversation each night!

On our recent Mariner cruise, there was a large group that was seated at three tables. They spoke to the headwaiter and ended up with a giant table for 18 after the three were combined. It put a strain on the waitstaff - the assistant waiter (who was ours) spent most of his time at their table to the near-exclusion of the rest of us. The headwaiter stepped in and did his job for him, but I felt badly for both of them.
