cyclingmom Posted March 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2008 I am sailing on an upcoming cruise - we have a large outside cabin, 1004, main deck near the vista lounge - it says it is a "quad" with 2 lower beds,1 sofa bed and one "upper" - 2 questions #1: Will this be noisy late at night #2" What does the room look like as a quad? Where i the "upper" bed located? thanks Lisa
RuthC Posted March 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2008 #2" What does the room look like as a quad? Where i the "upper" bed located? I had an inside quad on the Noordam's Main Deck, and will guess that your cabin is arranged similarly. The "upper" bed is recessed in the ceiling over the two twin beds. It drops down over the head(s) of the lower bed(s). The sofa bed is a twin pull-out from one end of the sofa. One suggestion I've read here is to have the lower beds made up "turned around". That is, so the heads are where the feet are usually placed. That way when you sit up you don't knock yourself out on the upper berth. It's a very good idea if that bed is used. ;)
jtl513 Posted March 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2008 1. probably, up until 11:20p-11:30p on the nights that the show lounge has noisy shows 2. my DD and DSiL had C1047 (which is a quad) on the Zuiderdam, and their drop-down bunk was over the sofa. The head of the main bed was under the window.
