1gail1 Posted March 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2008 Question is champagne considered the same as wine? can I bring a bottle of champagne and pay the corking fee? Would like to celebrate moms 80th b-day in the cabin as well as on the ship.
taxmantoo Posted March 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2008 Champagne IS wine (the main grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) and yes you may bring it and pay the $15 per bottle corkage fee. Cheers

Without getting too technical, Martini Bianco is considered a vermouth and is a distilled liquor as opposed to wine which is fermented. It contains about the same alcohol percentage at 15%. Having said that, depending on who is checking, you may be able to convince them it is a white wine and pay the the $15 corkage fee. Worth a try? That's for you to decide. Worse thing happens, they take it away and you get it back on the last day. Cheers !!!
