FloridaLaura Posted March 24, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2008 We will be in st. martin at the end of next month, we would like to spend part of our morning in Marigot. We would like to shop and maybe get a quick bite in a french cafe, preferrably with a view of the water. Any suggestions on where to eat? (even if it is a bakery or sidewalk cafe TIA Laura
Rare hcat Posted March 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2008 there are cafes on the main street across from the water--also some cute shops & a nice fort on top of the hill...get there early-it does get congested,,, we had lunch in a small cafe right on the corner--sorry don't reall the name--it was very nice but the bathrooom not up to standards! Rare peanutzmom Posted March 25, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2008 There are several nice restaurants ringing the marina. Our favorite is Belle Epoque -- they serve the best thin crust pizzas, plus plenty of French favorites.
cruzeluver Posted March 26, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2008 There is a bakery (sorry, don't recall the name) in Marigot just across from the square that is absolutely fantastic! Its a veeeery yellow building with most of the seating outside. Out tour guide recommended it, and we were not disappointed. They have both sweet and savory items, so we were able to make a nice lunch out of it.

drogerm Posted April 2, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2008 I would love to go to one of these restaurants. I've looked at these on the internet and the food looks wonderful. http://www.grandcase.com/restaurants.html Is there a certain attire you need to where to these places? Some of them look pretty swanky and I was wondering if they would let me in wearing my camo swim suit!
Rare hcat Posted April 2, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Grand case was such a nice village--we took a semi submersible from there as part of a tour--how much would a taxi cost to get there for lunch?
