sp29488 Posted March 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2008 Could someone that has gotten their docs mailed to them answer this for me? Trying to see if we'll need more. Also, Can we laminate the luggage tags that are mailed to us like some are doing with the printed out ones? Thanks for the help.
Rare Captain Funtime Posted March 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2008 You will get 2 tags per passenger. I made extras on my copier. Staples (or I am sure other places) sells a pack of 5 clear tag sleeves that worked great.
sp29488 Posted March 25, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted March 25, 2008 Thanks for the info. I've already picked up the laminating sleeves and now waiting our docs to come in the mail. Time is passing so slow:(

The old fashioned tags with the elastic strings no longer come with your mailed documents. The tags are now part of your documents. You tear out and attach. If you need more, you can print them off from your cruise Edocs. This is what we do AFTER we get our mailed documents.....

This is exactly what I got in my documents for my cruise this weekend. I had to print a couple more off of the Edocs, too!

jordanaire Posted March 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted March 26, 2008 We got 2 tags each in our mailed documents for this weekend's cruise aboard the Freedom. I took them to the local UPS store and had them laminated ($.79 for an 8X10 sheet). I then cut the tags to size, used a hole punch to punch holes across the bottom of each tag, then will use a plastic cable tie to hold them on each piece of luggage. This way, they will be sturdier and be harder for them to get torn off during the loading process. Bill
Yurita Posted March 26, 2008 #9 Share Posted March 26, 2008 Last May 2007, we got 3 tags per passenger. My family also got 3 per person. Uh? don't know why other people got two tags only. We have sailed twice with Carnival, and always got 3 tags pp. Maybe it's just my amazing PVP.
