ljkool Posted April 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2008 When the Vision is moving up and down the coast from LA to Cabo, is land in view? In a effort to move from the back of the ship I changed my cabin from port side to the starboard side of the Vision. I originally choose the port side to get nicer views coming into the ports. I remember traveling down the Florida coast at night and seeing the lights along the coast in the distance.
springtxbill Posted April 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Not much land to see except right as you come into Cabo and pass by on the return. You can see tops of some of the mountains in the distance, but not that much. Probably 15-20 miles away.:)
cb at sea Posted April 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Whatever view you have going down the coast, the other side will have on the return trip! Don't worry about the views--there are so many places for great 360 degree views, that you won't be on your balcony the entire time (I would hope!) Rare TPKeller Posted April 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I remember seeing land in a couple of places on the way down and up the coast, but it was very far off, and difficult to make out very much detail. It was visible for several hours. I think it was where the coastline tended to jut out a little farther than the rest, and also near one of the islands off the Mexican coast. Theron P.S. For a good look at the coastline, visit my Cruise Maps page, and click on the "Mexican Riviera" link just under the map. It will redraw the map showing the area in question! springtxbill Posted April 3, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I had a stbd side but chaged to port side for next Spring on the mariner so the balcony could get the afternoon sun on the last sea day as without the sun plus the wind it is just too cold to be outside.:)
klfhngr Posted April 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Get an aft cabin, you'll have a 'view' both ways!
