Can't decide on which beach to go to Crane, Accra or Paynes Bay

I have read so many great reviews that i can't decide. Also is it better to take a taxi or take the bus to the beach?

Take the taxi TO the beach...

it gets you there quicker and he knows where he's going - you don't. :)

 

Take the bus back FROM the beach

since they all head into Bridgetown anyways

and although the Port(and your ship) may be on the other side of town

you'll be close (then..maybe you can take a quick cab ride across town,

since it's about 1 mile -maybe more- across town, from the Bus Terminal on the Eastern side of town

to the Port which is about 1/2 mile West of town,proper).

If you want to go to Accra, don't expect to get a taxi inside the gate. Walk outside the gate.

He's right. The taxi-guys inside are manipulative sharks.

 

Walk outside the Port's Gatehouse

- you'll see a roundabout right there, with a big tree in its middle.

 

That's where the human taxi-guys wait for your business.

They don't try any funny tricks!
