PZetz Posted April 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2008 Anyone have experience with the Bar Harbor shore excursion that includes Acadia tour and lobster bake? Is it huge busloads of people at the lobster bake or smaller group? Will be on Maasdam in June. Thanks for any advice!

sail7seas Posted March 7, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Anyone have experience with the Bar Harbor shore excursion that includes Acadia tour and lobster bake? Is it huge busloads of people at the lobster bake or smaller group? Will be on Maasdam in June. Thanks for any advice! We did Maasdam's Acadia National Park, Cadilac Mountain and Lobster Bake tour and really enjoyed it. We rode through the park and learned the history of the area. We have lived in New England all our lives and never knew Maine had the most beautiful pink marble which we saw during our tour. The lobster lunch was at a newly constructed function building, picnic tables (indoor), very casual but clean, new, delicious lunch served casually but nicely and more than enough food for all of us. Drinks were available for purchase if one wished. The tour was on a moderate size bus and there was not a lot of walking but if you are lucky and have a beautiful day, as we did, walking around the top of Cadillac Mountain and looking down to the harbor and the ship was beautiful. We have nice memories of that tour with our friends. We sail Maasdam every summer on the Boston to Montreal to Boston cruises and do it b-to-b year after year. We really love that cruise, obviously. :)
