Opening connecting balconies on Serenade

Recommended Posts

I'm planning a cruise with a group of lady friends and we always like to get balconies next to each other and open the doors between them. I just read somewhere that RCL will not do this now, is that true?? Dee

I just got off the Serenade yesterday. I asked "Barbara" at the desk at Guest Services to please ask the Captain, as I was told by RCI customer service that it was up to the Captain's discretion. She told me she would ask him and would get back with me. She never did get back with me, so I believe she was just telling me that to get me to leave.

Physically, the balcony divider bolts have been painted over numerous times. It looks as if they have NEVER been opened.

Sorry . . . we managed to have a great time, and hopefully you will too!

The dividers don't have "doors" or hinges--they are all bolted together, and in some cases, actually part of the ship's hull.

That's why, if they did open them, they would have to stay opened the entire time--no closing them when you want privacy!
