planning an alaska trip

myself and my daughter are planning a trip to Alaska and would like to know the best ship to take ? my daughter is 11 years old and we have been on the fos b4. however i need a ship that wil have other children on board so she can have good time?

 

when i look at the princess line brochure eventhough they have a kids club it looks like it mostly cater to adults

 

i would appreciate any suggestions:o

I was looking at Carnival but for other reason mainly price :) But out of all the cruise lines that go to Alaska I would think Carnival would have the best chance of having kids on board.. But someone else probably will have more experience that has cruised to Alaska with kids.

 

But Carnival stands out in my mind.

I have not been to Alaska, But Camp Carnival does a good job...

Our children are all grown but everything I have observed, read and heard would make me believe that Princess does an outstanding job with their childrens progams. Plus during the summer there will be a lot of young families with their children aboard. I think your daughter would have a ball particularly on the larger ships.

I can confirm great kids program in Alaska...on our Coral Princess sailing the Glacier Bay naturalist came to do a special hands-on workshop with the kids on the way out of the bay.

Nope, not true. Carnival has about the same demographics as other lines sailing Alaska, bulk middle aged and above.

 

I suggest you pick your itinerary and ship for what Alaska can offer you. Involve your daughter in the trip planning, will make all the difference in interest and enjoyment.
