bowlingqueen Posted April 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We are looking at a Princess cruise to the British Isles starting in London and finishing there. Was wondering if you can leave the ship early and disembark at Le Havre which would be our last port of call ? Want to spend a couple of days in Paris. Any help appreciated. Thanks
sail7seas Posted April 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2008 I have read on these boards where people have done that in the past. You must work this out in advance with the cruise line and get it in writing....a fax or e-mail. You could have a hard time once aboard if you do not have it all spelled out as communication between home office and ship is not always perfect. pris993 Posted April 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Many years ago, we got off in La Havre the last port before the ship returned to Dover England. We had our TA work out the okay with cruise line in advance. This past year we stayed over night with friends, getting off one port in a country and returning to the ship on the next day, at a different port. Once again, we had our TA contact the cruiseline and work out the arrangements in advance. This time it was Princess Cruises, we were given a "trip deviation" request authorization by the line in writing.
