Our Roll call group from the 4-6 to 4-13 sailing had an ABSOLUTE ball!

What a great ship and wonderful group of folks met right here on Cruise Critic. Great new friendships have developed for sure!

Thanks for starting this thread, Chris.....where is everyone??

 

I'll be glad to share my St. John/St. James pictures with you. I only took a couple on the excursion, but will send what I have.

 

I am so going through withdrawal here in Tennessee......however, I have a couple more days to recup before going back to work on Friday.

 

Anyone else suffering????

Hi everyone,

You know, I didn't experience this on my 1st cruise but I still sometimes feel the rocking of the ship...course it only brings back great memories of our wonderful cruise on the Valor!!

We just had a late season cold front move thru South Florida and it feels really weird to be wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt after the beautiful, warm weather we just had on our cruise!

Chris...I have to apologize for not getting to the group pic...got your message that morning and still had 5 kids sleeping and just couldn't make it there...for anyone who has the skills to download pics (which is probably everyone except me) would love to see what you all took on our cruise!!

It was definitely fun talking with everyone before this cruise and then running into you all at different times throughout the cruise...made it seem like having friends on board!!

I want to go back!! It is supposed to be cold and snowy this weekend!! I was really hoping spring had arrived when I saw that it was so warm last weekend. All the snow was gone when we go home and now we have to put up with another week of winter at least.

I'm not sure which thread to post to, so I'll just copy to both:D

 

John, it was so good to meet you, and you're just as funny in person as you were on this board. Thanks for all the laughs. Your DW Lisa was such fun, too, and I enjoyed spending time with the two of you (and your friends) in the Paris Hot bar.

 

Rachel, it was so good to finally meet you! I'm glad you and Tony made it back to the girls safely....please keep us informed on Tony's orders.....I have my fingers crossed that he will never be sent anywhere you and the little ones can't follow. It was so nice to see you and spend a little time with you in Scarletts.

 

Noel and Danielle.......also enjoyed spending time with you in Paris Hot. And, so glad we discovered the "Dirty Bananas/Monkeys" together. What a treat!! However, I discovered I liked the "Kiss on the Lips" just a little better. Plus, it was so much fun to order!!:p

 

Pat and Ken, I enjoyed watching the two of you dance, and seeing you in the Theatre. Plus, having breakfast with your dear parents. I saw them again on our last day.....we were leaving the dining room as they were coming in. I had to give Mama Pat a hug.......what a delightful couple, and such enjoyable company.

 

Nate and Sara....you can be my deck mates anytime. True to your word, I never heard a peep from either of you, once we were in our rooms.:) I will look at the youtube video once I return to work. I'm on dial-up here at home.

 

Chris, I saw Brandon several times and he always waved and spoke. I know you are so proud of him......what a nice young man.

 

I've been developing pictures at Wal-mart today, but only got about half way through before my dental appointment. I'll try and finish tomorrow, and post some for you.

 

I'm not sure how many of you knew, but on Sunday morning, before the cruise, my oldest sister fell getting out of the shower. She was so conscious of making us late for the cruise that she wouldn't even discuss going to the emergency room. Once we boarded, we went to the infirmary and bought a sling for her arm/shoulder (she wouldn't see the ship doctor). She was in pain off and on throughtout the trip, but still "managed" to win over $1500 in the casino (over $900 at one time). However, she did go to her doctor Monday, and discovered she had broken the socket in her shoulder and will meet with the surgeon tomorrow. Wow......I don't think I could have stood it, so my admiration for her continues to grow.

Should be a great game Friday night...of course, here in Ottawa hockey season is officially over (unofficially it ended back in December, when the Senators started their tumultuous skid).

 

It is strange though...much like the Red Wings, the Senators have been to the playoffs every season for over a decade, with several long playoff runs...and last year, of course, the playoffs streached for us until mid-June, and we must have made it to 8 or 10 home playoff games...this year, we didn't go to a single game...we had actually given to friends our tickets for the first two home playoff games, as the schedule hadn't been announced before we left for Florida...:confused:

Well in true Mama fashion, I neglected to take pictures of the different spots within the Valor. Dont have any pics of the atrium, decks, bars etc. Anyone who wishes to share a few with me and Brandon, we would be forever grateful. Also any pics of Brandon and I together would be appreciated. You can just send to me as attachement, jpeg or whatever. Send to my work email chrisb@infocision.com.

Ginny,

Your killing me with those pictures of St. Maarten......I want to go back......NOW!! We looked into airfare and hotels already....They have ocean front hotels for $130/ngt......and they are beautiful!! Airfare is around $300..........Dw and I might have to take a trip this winter.....
