Transportation Options - Southampton to Heathrow

Does Cunard offer a bus transfer to Heathrow Airport from Southampton? What do they charge for this service?

 

Is it easy to get to Heathrow using public transportation without having to go into central London? I think a taxi would probably be prohibitive.

 

Any advice from past cruisers would be helpful.

Flight must leave LHR after 2pm. Coach transfer one way per person is $80.

 

Do it yourself:

 

Cab from ship to Southampton Central. National Express to LHR. NE coach does not go into Central London before LHR.

We've booked a private car with Smiths for Airports http://www.smithsforairports.com

They quoted us £ 75 Southampton to Gatwick (2 people, 4 large cases). This is a very good price !
