What time do shops in Mykonos close?

:) My family and I will be going to Myknons in late August. Our ship will be there from 2:30 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. I plan to go to the beach for a couple of hours and then head back to town at aound 6 p.m. Will that be too late? Will the stores be closed by then? Will it still be bright enough to walk around? Thanks for your advice.

Many of the shops are open late (some until around midnight), particularly when cruise ships are in port, so don't worry. You should have a chance to see a beautiful sunset as well....

cruisemom is right the shops stay open very late. We really enjoyed walking around in the evening and just browsing into the little shops.

So long as there's a ship in port, things are open, believe me! :) I've seen shopkeepers and restaurant-owners rushing around, opening up for business as soon as a ship comes in, no matter what day of the week it is, or what time.

Nice to hear Canadian.....did you see the roll call? I will go over there now and take a peek. Hope you are as excited about this cruise as we are. Have you sailed Celebrity before?? This will be our first Celebrity cruise so don't really know what to expect......we've sailed RCCL primarily and Carnival also.
