GORDONCHICK Posted April 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I'm looking for a good lotion without any scent. I prefer something that I can pick up at a drugstore or Wal-Mart. All the ones I keep finding have horrible scents, and I want unscented. If I want to use scented lotions, I use one from Bath & Body. Any ideas? jlrn366419 Posted April 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Lubriderm or Eucerin. Eucerin is much heavier, would stick to Lubriderm unless you are super dry and scaly. They have generics too that are probably just as good.
pa_heather Posted April 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Cerave lotion or creme (the lotion is in a pump bottle and the creme is in a tub). Did wonders on my dry winter skin and many use it as a facial moisturizer. It's usually on one of the lower shelves, near Cetaphil.
ballet2410 Posted April 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I use Lubriderm and it doesn't have a scent to it. It is not heavy at all and I really like it b/c they make one that has SPF15 in it, which is why I purchased it in the first place. Don't forget to protect your skin from the sun! GORDONCHICK Posted April 22, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I will take a look at all of these. Thanks for the suggestions.
Cruising Carol Posted April 22, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Because of allergies, I use nothing with fragrance. I really like Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion. It is fragrance free and also contains natural colloidal oatmeal. It is not greasy and really moisturizes. I buy it at Target.
Hoyaheel Posted April 22, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I like the Aveeno lotion--I've been buying the 2-packs at Costco because my husband keeps stealing my lotion:rolleyes: I've been using Lubriderm and Eucerin for years as well (eucerin now comes in a lotion as well as the original thick cream that's great for heels!) The Lubriderm with sunscreen isn't unscented (to my nose at least) but I still use it because I want the sunscreen.
6rugrats Posted April 22, 2008 #8 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Curel. Not heavy or greasy at all.
klct39lg Posted April 22, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 22, 2008 I really like Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Lotion Original Unscented.
Robin7 Posted April 22, 2008 #10 Share Posted April 22, 2008 It's strange, but I think there's a scent to Lubriderm. I also tried Cetaphil which I also thought had a scent. I settled on Eucerin. I use both the lotion and the thicker stuff and like them both. Robin

On the list of ingredients it says, "frangrance." Duh. Well, I don't notice a scent with it and that is why I bought it. The only one I could fine with sunscreen that didn't smell to me. So...ignore my advise! Sorry!
lka1012 Posted April 22, 2008 #12 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Sephora has a good one that I like.
RI-Sailor Posted April 23, 2008 #13 Share Posted April 23, 2008 I have used Keri (aka Alpha Keri) lotion. It's harder to find now, but I think it's still out there... http://www.thefind.com/beauty/info-keri-lotion FYI: I've never used the above vendor, I was just looking for details online. I disliked the thick Eucerin.

I think lots of "unscented" things have some scent. You have to add something to cover up the chemicals:rolleyes: What's most important is finding something innocuous to your own nose, I guess!
