cruiser willy Posted April 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2008 This is not cruise related, but we'll be in N.O. from Friday thru Monday this coming weekend 4/25 - 4/28 for Jazz Fest. We're with a group of friends celebrating a 50th birthday. We're from western Massachusetts and have never been to Louisiana before. My wife and I plan to go to Jazz Fest on Saturday, but would like to get the best bang for our buck by spending Sunday touring / site seeing. Others in our group who've been there before will be doing Jazz Fest all weekend. Any thoughts for the best way to spend the day? I don't mind packing alot of stuff into a short time frame. I've heard about tours of the disaster, cemetaries, parade floats, etc. Also, I'd love some recommendations on GREAT night spots. I know the city is full of them, but any advice about the "best" ones would be helpful. We'd like a fun dance club or keraoke bar or piano bar with sing-a-along. Note: we are in our mid forties, so a dance club to us would have 70's - 80's music. A good comic show would be good too. My wife likes artisan jewelry like David Yurman, etc. Any tips about shopping would be helpful as well. Many thanks,
