tillys mom Posted January 22, 2009 #26 Share Posted January 22, 2009 I am trying to get a rough idea how many DKK to get at the ATM and need to know the cost of the dogs and milk or cokes. They sound like something I don't want to miss.
Danish viking Posted January 23, 2009 #27 Share Posted January 23, 2009 One hotdog and Cocio (the chocolate milk) is roughly 35 kroner but the smallest amount of money you can get from a ATM is 100 kroner and if you can find a brand new ATM they can also get you 50 kroner notes. tillys mom Posted January 24, 2009 #28 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Thanks for the information. We are coming into Copenhagen a day early and hope to use a credit card for the taxi. However, I assume we will need to tip at the hotel. Also we want to go to Tivoli that night. Will we need DKK for dinner at Tivoli? Where do you suggest we eat that will be moderately priced? We are staying at the Hotel Bethel which I hope is within walking distance of the sites. Any help would be appreciated.
Danish viking Posted January 25, 2009 #29 Share Posted January 25, 2009 About the credit card, remember to ask the driver before the trips start or else there is atm´s at the Airport. For payment in Tivoli i think that you can do it with credits card if you have a pincode but it is best to pay with cash if they dont take the card. The hotel has the best location possible because you are in in downtown copenhagen, the hotel is located in the nyhavn/Kongens nytorv area. If you want to safe some money you simply just take the Metro (not the airport train) from the airport to Kongens nytorv metro station. From the metro station there is a very easy 300 metre walk to the hotel. Here is a map with the location of the metro station and the hotel. http://www.krak.dk/query?mop=aq&mapstate=8%3B12.587637300288717%3B55.679622746130306%3Bs%3B12.58347205792143%3B55.68096209210763%3B12.591802542656006%3B55.678283400152985%3B618%3B375&what=map_adr&geo_area=Nyhavn%2022%201051%20K%C3%B8benhavn%20K Tivoli has 3 categories of restaurants main dish under 100 kr., main dish 100-175 kr. and main dish over 175 kr.
