Rare Lois R Posted April 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2004 I was having a wonderful week and it made me realize how very lucky I am...cruising seems to have been just the thing I was looking for...I have always enjoyed traveling and land vacations. This is type of vacation is outstanding. And Celebrity is something special. I have 5 fabulous tablemates and a wonderful ship to sail on..what more could a person want? I know I mentioned trivia earlier, during the days as well as in the evening. There was a "Beatles Trivia" too!..Ken was very good with this category, though we all contributed. We came in 2nd place for this one. So, we placed 1st in the evening and 2nd place in the daytime. The guys beat the gals in the "Battle of The Sexes" though. I know you all are wondering about the entertainment. In 7 nights I only attended 2 shows. Both were excellent. Ken, Lisa, and I went to see the comedian. His name is Noodles Lowenstien. He was quite funny and the folks in the first couple of rows enjoyed it immensley. (Audience particapation thing). On the last night we saw the passenger talent show and I must say...these folks were WONDERFUL. I missed the first act, but from what I was told he was great. He sang to his wife for their anniversary. The other acts were very very good. One woman sang Amazing Grace..she brought the house down. It was really enjoyable. One evening they had a Caribbean Party at the pool and a bunch of us attended. Lots of dancing...drinking...just having a ton of fun! Ken, Lisa, Phil, Karen, Angie, Me...and of course 1800 of our closest friends! The band was Axis on the ship and they were playing their hearts out..we all had a great time. The first night was my sick night. So bed was my evening. We usually closed down the dining room each night. Its one of the reasons I enjoy late seating...no rush to leave. The one night we knew we did have to move our tushies earlier than normal was the 2nd formal night. They needed to set up for the Grand Buffet. I didn't eat but I did go through the line. It is magnificant. The largest ice carving was "The Golden Gate Bridge". Breathtaking. And now I need to take a breath.......Part 6 to follow... Next up...HORIZON Sept 18th to Bermuda!
