Ft Lauderdale to Miami

I am looking for airfare for Jan 25, 2009 from Detroit. How far is it from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami. If I were to fly into Ft. Lauderdale what are my options to get to Miami. Any help would be great. Is it way to erly to worry about airfare?

Distance is about 27 miles. Rent a car, catch a taxi or shuttle, etc. Do a google search and you will pull up lots of options.
