sp29488 Posted April 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2008 I'm a little confused. I've read in different places that carryons (for the ship only, not flying) should only be 11X17 and then I read they can be 24x16. Does anyone know for sure which one it is? I thought it was the 24X16. I'm not sure where the 11X17 comes from.
Rare Essiesmom Posted April 25, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2008 The same dimensions as airline carryons, because they have to fit through the same x-ray machines. EM
Flip2cruise Posted April 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2008 From the Carnival site http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Baggage_Information__Embarkation_Debarkation.aspx Guests are encouraged to limit their checked luggage to two suitcases per person, with each suitcase not to weigh more that 50 pounds and not exceed 16"h x 24"w x 30"length. Please attach your Carnival Cruise Lines luggage tags PRIOR to leaving home and make sure that they are still on your bags when checking in with us. In many ports, guests have the option of carrying luggage on board at embarkation and off the ship at the end of the cruise as long as it does not exceed 24"w x 16"h. This is an advantage you may want to consider as it will allow for quicker easier access to your bags.
