ancldaca Posted April 28, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Smoked salmon for breakfast daily which is sort of funny since when I'm not on vacation I don't eat breakfast at all. And then there's the fruit tarts every afternoon with tea. Yeah, my other indulgance when cruising...

PurpleCow Posted April 28, 2008 #9 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I'd also have to vote for the chilled fruit soups. I love them and they're about the only thing I can't get at home.

CruiseNut7 Posted April 28, 2008 #11 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Same as several others - for breakfast, MUST have bagels, cream cheese and lox (smoked salmon). I usually order three or four plates so I can have lots of fish - LOVE smoked salmon and it's a huge treat as it's so expensive at home. Gee, wonder why I can't button my britches when I disembark the ship! :p

GORDONCHICK Posted April 28, 2008 #19 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I have heard of creme brulee, but have no idea what it is. Can someone enlighten me.:o A guy I worked with saw it and asked what the big deal about it was - it's just pudding that's burnt on top..... Needless to say, he's not a foodie or food-adventurous. doctordi Posted April 28, 2008 #21 Share Posted April 28, 2008 I have to agree with the Escargot. My DH got me to try it on one of our cruises and I was surprised at how much I liked it. On the last cruise I ordered two!
jpg1747 Posted April 28, 2008 #22 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Not any one particular thing; but I always try to order something I've never eaten before. A cruise is a great opportunity to try new things since you can always get something else if you don't like it.
