Aplmac Posted May 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2008 Are there people/companies offering excursion sales as you get off the ship? ===> in the Port areas? yes. I'm wondering if that happens here like it does in Grand Cayman? Up and down the Caribbean, there's always people offering tours. From organised Tour Companies to individual private operators and taxi drivers island people want and need your tourist dollar! We went ashore in St.Kitts, Tortola, Dominica and Antigua and there was no shortage of opportunities from persistent but polite guys trying to sell you this or that tour/excursion most of them armed with maps and/or brochures showing choices as to where they'll take you and what you'll see! Likewise in Barbados. You should have no problem finding someone to take you on a tour for anything like about U.S.$20-25 per person for a quick half-day (which is all I need to get an idea of what any island's like)
