Questions about Majesty to Bermuda

Could anyone answer a few questions for me about the Majesty cruise to Bermuda?

I am unsure about what category of stateroom to book, I was looking at the CC but the jogging track appears to be right outside the the rooms, we like to sleep late and are concerned about the joggers waking us up in the A.M. Anyone have any experience with these rooms?

Also, so they keep the casinos open while in Bermuda or do they close them the whole time you are in port?

I know this ship was not built for an "as you wish dining" what did you all think of dining on this ship?

Thank you ALL for your help!!

We have done the Boston to Bermuda cruise on the Majesty 10 times. We have only stayed on the promenarde next once but joggers were not a problem at all.

The casino and all ships stores are closed while in Bermuda.

We have always enjoyed dining on the Majesty. When ever we get to the dining room they always ask if we mind a sharing table. We almost always choose this option. It is nice to eat with different people each night. Only time we have ever had to wait is when we were with a big group and then it was only about 20 minutes.

We are so sad not to have the Majesty in Boston. We are going to Bermuda on the Norwegian Dream on June 1.

Anymore Majesty questions just ask. There are alot of loyal Majesty CC people who will be happy to help you out.

If you like to sleep late, I recommend an inside cabin. It will stay dark in there as late as you like, and its much better for sleeping. Study the deck plans, and choose a location that is not "on the way" from one spot on the ship to another.

Thank you for the info on the Promande deck cabins. I am a little afraid of the other OV cabins they are only 108 sq feet. That is quite small. The cabins we are use to being in are 195 sq. ft. I am having a hard time imagining a cabin 1/2 the size we are use to. So I am undecided about cabin choice.

Is there a Steak House? Italian Restaurant? Etc?

So I don't need any formal clothes?

I need an;

"Everything you need to know about a cruise to Bermuda on the Majesty from Charleston" list.

My siblings and I are sending my parents on the Majesty in a week and a half. I've given my mom some tips but I realized there's so much I don't know about the Majesty or Bermuda. Does someone have a quick and dirty lists?

Majesty has the 108 sq ft and the 145 sq ft cabins, plus a few suites. My parents had an owners suite last time we sailed her and it was nice, plus you get free liquor and concierge service. A little pricey but affordable.

There is only one pay restaurant, Le Bistro, which is a French style. You can also consider it a steakhouse. There is a nice Italian alternative restaurant at the forward lounge at night. We have tried them both and liked them. We're on her again Saturday.

We're used to the 195 sq. ft. cabin as well so I booked a superior OV. We don't spend much time in the cabin but we DO like a window to see what the weather is like. I've been on the Majesty in the small cabin but DH has not. It's very small, not much storage but it can be done.:) Here's a thumbnail to show the size...I'm only 5'3".;)

I just returned Saturday. Pls read my review:

If you have any further questions, post them there and I'll answer them!

Please note that the CC cabins on deck 9 starting at 943 and lower seemed to be much larger than my cabin 967. Ours was larger than the one shown with the 5'3" passenger. We had about 4' floor space. Loved our location for running up to deck 10, with a table anc chairs outside our window. And the windows are NOT blacked out.

Hi...we just returned from Majesty--Charleston to Caribbean. We stayed in room 722 on Promenade deck. Though I was also worried about the joggers/walkers, they were no problem at all. Unless you looked out the window, you didn't even know they were there. Our room was a little tight so I would suggest the superior room in the CC category. We used our bed as a double and it was pushed up against an unmoveable cabinet so I had to step over the corner to get in and out on my side.

The Pasta House is great food. You need to make reservations which start at 9 a.. However, you can make Pasta House reservations the day before. Great atmosphere and we ate here almost every night.

Enjoy your cruise!!
