Upgrades?

How and when will you know if you are fortunate enough to have gotten an upgrade (at this point (about 50 days from sailing) all my documents have my stateroom # on them).

If you booked a guarantee, you may be eligible for an upgrade up to the sail day. If you did book a guarantee, and received a room #, there is only a slight chance of it being changed.

Sounds like you booked a specific room? In that case you will not get upgraded.

The only cabins I have read about lately being bumped are if you are booked into a 9A aft wrap which is in high demand or a handicapped cabin is occassionally bumped into a regular cabin if you are AB. Last year I saw one post someone was bumped out of a connecting cabin.

 

Its very rare unless you have a high demand type cabin you will be bumped, let alone upgraded from a cabin you have been assigned to.
