On the WC and we were able to have CC meetings posted in the daily program. The book is in the library, just ask for it.

Sorry dave, one of those things eh, pleased you had fun, we both signed the CC book it was in the library.

what a great ship though, we met so many people on board, had so much fun, great foos, service etc, and to think you were just down the corridor from us.

we got great photos and videos of the IOTS as she sailed past, and we were in the commodore club often, we also posted out photo on here so we wernt hard to miss lol

sorry to have missed you if we were not far away, i never knew about a cc book in the library. i met ian in commordore club in departure once!! i asked him to call me but nothing.

EMBARKATION

dissapointed to find no shuttle bus running from station anymore. as i wasa in grill it was extremly fast, had to find my own way to my cabin no help at all!!

CABIN

a lovely cabin with a bath/shower, long sofa,. 2 tv's! and a lovely balcony plus a fridge.

FOOD

spent all my time in the princess grill and had a great time. a bit dissapointerd that somertimes as i dine early i was sitting on my own most of the time.

ENTERTAINMENT

i just loved the boxes in the theatre! 2 special events VICTORIANA and CELTIC were great being pampered with chocolates and champagne. never saw any other acts so not sure what sort of people they have.

PORTS OF CALL

LE HAVRE was lovely got a shuttle bus that dropped me off a way away, found it easier walking back to the ship.

ROTTERDAM was great got a train to amsterdam and had a great time.

ZEEBRUGGE a bit out of the way, did a tour of FLANDERS and YRPRES which was very interesting. back onboard for lunch before catching the shuttle bus to BLACKENBERGE.

DISEMBARKATION

as i paid in cash i wanted to pay the extra in pounds sterling. but after queuing up a was told i had to change my money to dollars in the casino(NOT IMPRESSED!!) i waited in the lounge and never even heard my colour called!! then a long queue to get off the ship.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS

loved the theatre, food andentertainment was good, and the grill outside area was really nice. the grills lounge for afternoon tea was crowded and no music like in the queens room. the shops and even the bookshop was poor as waas the cunardia area. the pictures on the b staircase(many by STEPHEN CARD) were fantastic.

WOULD I GO ON HER AGAIN? i doubt it!!

Thanks for the review Dave.

It looks like you only ate in the Princess Grill, but in case you ventured farther afield:

Did you have lunch at the Courtyard, and was the Courtyard open for breakfast and/or tea?

Did you try the Lido or Golden Lion at all?

Thanks!

i did try the golden lion when i got back from flanders it was a lovely bangers and mash finishes at 1400 with a pint of guinness. only saw the lido on last day it looked quite big. the courtyard was open for lunch a couple of times nobody mentioned it though. like the food in the grill though.

Sorry Dave,

But it just didn't fit in to call you. The wonderful weather we enjoyed mean't lazy boozy days and lunches in port and a mad dash for pre dinner drinks. table mates took care of the after dinner scene.

Just returned from this voyage, was plesantly surprised by how much I liked the QV, a lovely ship for a Cunard cruise vs crossing (crossing are still preferred on QM). Ate each night in Todd English, so I can not comment on Britania food (TE was lovely). My only comments are that the cabins need drawers (said already) and the bathrooms need more shelf space or a small medicine cabinet. Also, I thought the cabin hallways were boring and hospital like (QM2 has prettier hallways to get to your cabin). Yes, she would be nicer with real teak decks, but overall I thought the public rooms were lovely and overall the ship felt very intimate. Service overall was good as well
