  1. I most likely will be blogging - I love the itinerary, and would like to share it with others :)
  2. Thanks! We will try to fit in the puffins - I agree, they are very cute!
  3. Wow - this is very annoying misinformation. Not exactly what happens in the one and only Britannia restaurant. "Main Dining. Price Included. Your table is reserved for breakfast, lunch and dinner in one of the sophisticated main restaurants aboard. Each is the home of deliciously imaginative menus, exceptional wines and impeccable service."
  4. Booking through a travel agent is still the best way to go. I know that doesn't help with your issues with Cunard, and they should do better, but using a TA saves times and money. Good luck with your booking - I do hope you get to do a world cruise. It really is something amazing, and worth the cost :)
  5. I love any of the souffles, but the chocolate one is the best! They also do a great beef Wellington as a main course. The lobster tails can be nice, but they are often rubbery so I give them a miss :)
  6. Your TA's reply is very strange. Firstly, 20 to 25 people in a QG stateroom is easily done, why, we have that number for our soirees in our Britannia cabin, although it is a bit of a squash and not ideal if you can't put people out on the balcony. The advantage of the stateroom is that you can provide all of the food and drinks yourself so it works out a lot cheaper. Our travel agency frequently hosts receptions on board - you have to pay for the food and drink if you do it in a public room. We have never heard that it can't be done. Roscoe's parties are of the stuff that urban legends inspire, may be you can out do him! I'm sorry we will miss meeting you as we only embark on the 14th.
  7. Yes, that is much more in our price range :)
  8. Wow! Thanks for the heads up! I think a minibus tour would be more in our price range :)
  9. Thanks! We only have a day and a half there, but I am so excited about finally getting to see Iceland :)
  10. I had posted a question about day tours in Iceland on the Northern Europe &Baltic Sea CC Ports of Call forum and have had some great responses. I don't know if this link will work: https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2660059-private-day-tour-in-iceland/?tab=comments&source=122648#comment-57401186
  11. Thanks for the referral. We have one full day, and we leave the following afternoon, so we are looking for one full day tour and one half day one, but leaving us enough time to see Reykjavik.
  12. Sorry I should have said. We will be at the Reykjavik Cruise Port.
