LindaKE Posted October 9, 2004 #12 Share Posted October 9, 2004 I hate to be the nay sayer, but they don't really know whether there will be any more hurricanes this year. We've had hurricanes as late as December in the past. I HOPE they are over (Ivan was enough for us, and poor Florida got 3!), but no one can predict them. imsulin Posted October 9, 2004 #13 Share Posted October 9, 2004 Of course, today Matthew is heading for the LA/MS coast, and Mobile will most likely get lots of rain, as will we here in Awbun! WAR EAGLE!
lynwar Posted October 11, 2004 #14 Share Posted October 11, 2004 We're getting the remnants of Matthew here in central Florida today=very rainy. Also, Nicole, which was over by Bermuda seems to be trekking up the northeastern coast of the USA and will hit some our newly made friends up in Newfoundland. I really don't think any of us down here who were in the crosshairs of 3 hurricanes, the last one with its eye right over us, will relax until the end of November. I think that even thunderstorms with gusty winds will make us nervous. Lynne
Pam in CA Posted October 11, 2004 #15 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Yep... Nicole is going past slowly and Cape Cod is expected to get winds of 45mph with higher gusts. Then, it's going to combine with another weather system and back up over coastal New England over the next couple of days before it heads to Canada.
